Elaine McGonnell

Elaine has been working in the field of ABA since 2011 firstly as a support worker, home therapist and more recently as Consultant Behaviour Analyst privately and for Pathway to Learning.  Her clients have ranged from 3-16 years old and with varying diagnoses including ASD, Speech and Language Disorders, ADHD and acquired brain injury.  Elaine has designed, implemented and trained others in ABA interventions in both homes, schools, nurseries and a supported living facility for adults with special needs and physical or learning disabilities.

Elaine has worked with both verbal and nonverbal individuals and has a particular interest in speech and language skills, teaching functional play/social skills and independent living skills.  After her first degree a BSc in Human Communication Sciences in 2010 and then a Master of Science in ABA with distinction in 2014 Elaine became a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst in August 2015 and in 2016 completed an intensive 6 month internship programme with PATHWAY TO LEARNING.  As well as working full time in the field she dedicates her time to researching the most up-to-date techniques and has attended training courses on PECS from Pyramid and Functional Analysis for problem behaviour.

Elaine became a Rainbow Kids Yoga Instructor in 2018 and now incorporates the practice of kids yoga and mindfulness into her therapy programmes and is seeing the benefit of using yoga alongside ABA.  She also provides parent training courses and professional mentorship and senior supervision to our trainee Behaviour Analysts.

We are delighted to have her knowledge, commitment and dedication to the team.
